There are no ‘hidden’ costs built into our figures for middlemen because we’re the owners of the business. There are no sales commissions, large offices, and franchise fees like other large group builders. Ours is a lean, paperless (fully digital) business structure. Hawkins Homes provides you with a Fixed Contact for the cost of your new home. That means no hidden costs or thousand dollars of extras (or Provisional Costs) like some builders may charge. We’ve been doing this long enough to know how much things like drainage, and earthworks costs, in fact everything that goes into a final build – so we can give you an accurate fixed price from the start.
We are proud of the homes that we have built – we put you first, and make sure you are involved in the process. Whatever you need in a new home, we can do: from helping you with the layout and style of your home, to all the necessary planning and building regulation procedures. We offer full house plans, customised plans or designs from scratch. We take care of building consents and any required structural engineering designs and calculations.

We are Members of the NZ Certified Builders (AA06100) and our team are Licensed Building Practitioners (LBP). That means we will never cut corners, and our experienced builders do work that stands the test of time.
We use the highest quality construction materials, so your home will be strongly built. This includes top plates, and 35m steel battens, double nogged frames – so your house won’t flex or continuously crack. We use solid timber finishing on door jams, architraves and skirting – not inferior MDF finishing. What’s more we do quality checks from start to finish.
At Hawkin’s Homes you can be sure that you are in safe hands. Your new home will be supervised and managed by an experienced builder: Paul Cronin. He built his first home back in the 1980s so he has the expertise to ensure that your new home is built to the highest of standards. He will also provide regular updates and images of your build as it progresses.
